De Sede DS600 Non Stop Modular Sofa in Brown Leather

For you consideration is a striking and bold piece of 1970s design: The DS600 "Non Stop" sofa by Ueli Berger, Eleonore Peduzzi Riva, Heinz Ulrich and Klaus Vogt and produced by the legendary Swiss manufacturer De Sede. Created in 1972, this iconic sofa features modular elements that can be twisted, turned and reconfigured to position the sofa in an almost unlimited number of positions. As you can see in the photos, it can be snaked into an "S," turned into a semi-circle, extended as an arch, or left in a straight line.

This example is an upgrade over the standard model and features plush and soft leather upholstery on the sides as well as the seats. It features 22 elements. Extended from end to end, the sofa is 18', though compacts to around 11' if left as a semi-circle.

De Sede is known for insisting on comfort alongside beauty, and this sofa achieves both.

The piece is in excellent vintage condition with and rich aged patina. No crazing or tears in the leather, just the wonderful hue you would expect of any leather sofa that has been well cared for over the years.
