Idealforms purchases individual pieces, groups of items and entire collections. We are particularly interested in distinctive, well-designed pieces from approximately 1900 through the 1980s.
Sell Directly or Consign?
Selling directly to Idealforms is the simplest and fastest option. We evaluate your pieces and, if they are a good fit for our inventory, make an offer to purchase them outright. Once a price is agreed upon, we arrange payment and collection to complete the transaction. There is no need to wait for the item to sell to another buyer.
Consignment may be appropriate for certain pieces when maximizing the eventual selling price is more important than speed. Idealforms markets the piece, handles inquiries and manages the sale on your behalf. When necessary, we can also coordinate refinishing or restoration to properly prepare a piece for market. Payment is made after the item sells.
Consignment can take time. Depending on the piece, price and market, a sale may take weeks, months or longer. There is no guaranteed sale date.
